Nylon-MXD6 dissolves in strong acids like concentrated sulfuric acid and formic acid. It also dissolves in phenols like met cresol. However, it is quite stable against many other chemicals.

The figure below shows the chemical resistance of injection molded products of Nylon-MXD6 (Note: dumb-bell specimen).

Measuring Conditions

Injection test piece: 80mm x 10mm x 4mmt (ISO294-1)
Immersion time: 23℃ x 7days
Flexural test: ISO 178
